Voice

The ACT I Academy strives to provide voice instruction in a safe and encouraging environment by skilled, professional instructors. We offer private lessons in voice as well as a youth choir and teen choir (check out our parks & rec page for more info). Students will be given multiple performance opportunities throughout the year and will be encouraged to explore other musical outlets through their schools, churches, and other community groups. Private lessons can also be used for audition preparation for district and All-State events, college scholarships, and musicals.

Group Vocal Pedagogy Class

We are excited to introduce a new music class to Act I, Vocal Pedagogy. The focus of this class is combining the science and art elements to singing: While also creating new avenues of understanding and enhancing your student’s ability to performing. The voice is a complex instrument to study, since each person’s voice is unique. So it is important that the basic mechanics and techniques are applied. We will have master classes, where students will observe and learn from each other. Also, each student will be a part of a small choir and also learn solo repertoire!
