Dance Youth Company
The Dance Youth Company Program here at ACT I Academy strives to create a healthy, encouraging and positive dance environment. The company program is great for those wanting to train at a pre-professional level in dance with multiple performance opportunities. Dancers in the company put on 2 full length productions a year, one being alongside of our resident professional company Highland Springs Dance Company. As well, the company dancers have multiple community performance opportunities throughout the year. Our company program does not participate in dance competitions. And our productions are story based, not recital based programs. Past productions include such shows as: “A Queen’s Star: Esther’s story”, “Adventures in Narnia”, “Ray of Hope” and “Never Alone”.
Our program offers both a ballet and modern/contemporary emphasis option for dancers in level 3 and higher.

"I don't know much about dance, but I love how happy my daughter is when she gets in the car after class. As a busy parent, I appreciate the website, specifically the dashboard which allows me to keep up with all my daughter's classes. I can also pay her tuition and register for classes. The faith-based curriculum also means I never have to worry about any inappropriate music, costumes, or dances. The staff is also great about letting you know about the appropriate classes for your child's ability and interest. Chrissy is also great about bringing in other instructors for special events and classes to expose the dancers to a variety of choreography and teaching styles.
